Spring Agro Participates in Presidential Dialogue on Ghana’s Economic Transformation

Spring Agro Industries Limited was honored to be invited by John Dramani Mahama, President of Ghana, to participate in the Presidential Dialogue with Ghana’s Private Sector, held on February 23, 2026 at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra.

The dialogue brought together leading business executives, captains of industry, and government officials to strengthen collaboration between government and the private sector and chart a path toward economic transformation.

During the forum, President Mahama emphasized the critical role of the private sector as the engine of economic growth, highlighting the need to move beyond theoretical support toward practical partnerships that promote industrial expansion and job creation.

A key focus of the discussion was the implementation of Ghana’s proposed 24-Hour Economy, an initiative designed to encourage extended production hours across industries in order to boost productivity, stimulate economic activity, and accelerate national development.

The dialogue also explored several proposed business-friendly reforms, including the introduction of a simplified tax regime, tax amnesty measures, flat import duties in local currency, and the abolition of the electronic levy. These reforms aim to improve the business environment and support private sector growth.

Government also reaffirmed its commitment to reducing the fiscal deficit through non-oil revenue mobilization, strengthening infrastructure development through public–private partnerships, and creating policies that enable businesses to thrive.

The engagement underscored a shared commitment between government and industry leaders to drive Ghana’s economic recovery and position the country as a regional production and industrial hub in West Africa.
